Prompting as a craft, not a checklist

Treat the prompt like the spec. If you can't read it back to a new teammate and have them produce the right output, the agent won't either.
Cut the meta-instructions. 'Be helpful, be concise, be accurate' is not a prompt — it's a hope. Pick one outcome and write it as a sentence.
Version your prompts the way you'd version code. Date them. Diff them. Keep the failures next to the wins.
